Annual Downtown Scarecrow Contest

🎃 It’s Scarecrow Time! 🎃

Registration for the Annual Downtown Scarecrow competition is NOW OPEN! All entries must be registered and photos submitted by September 28, 2026.

The contest is open to ALL individuals, businesses, organizations, and clubs. You don’t need to be located downtown to participate – if you’re not downtown, we’ll find a place for your scarecrow! All entries will be displayed within the downtown area.

• Cost: $10 per display
• Categories: Individual, Business, Non-Profit Organization, Club
• Voting: October 1 – 30, 2026
• Winners Announced: Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Downtown Trick-or-Treat

👻 Scarecrows may be placed indoors if your location allows, but they must be visible from outside.

🦇 Remember to name your Scarecrow and place a sign with your business/organization name on your display!

⚠️ Please Note: The Chamber and Downtown Chillicothe are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen scarecrow items. Political candidate/campaign signage is not permitted.
